Samuel has been in the insurance and reinsurance industry since 1993 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in the United States and abroad. Today, he’s EVP & COO at Berkley Re Direct where he helps guide a number of operations including Corporate Underwriting, the Innovation Team, Marketing, Strategic Planning and delivering unique insurance and reinsurance Custom Turnkey Solutions on a Global basis.
He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Bryant University, MBA and MST degrees from the University of Hartford, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and holds The Institutes® ARe designation.
Samuel is a board member at The University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business, Chairperson of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies Merit Society and Chairperson of the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies Educational Committee. He lives with his wife and two boys in Fairfield County Connecticut.
