Diane Coogan‐Pushner is Chief Risk Officer at The Navigators Group, Inc. Prior to joining Navigators, Ms. Coogan was Distinguished Lecturer at Queens College, City University of New York, Director of its Graduate Program in Risk Management, and Associate Dean of Social Sciences.
Ms. Coogan has been in the insurance industry since 1997, and was a Managing Director at Swiss Re, portfolio manager at Philo Smith, portfolio manager for a private equity fund dedicated to financial services, and was a practice leader in value based management at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Prior to joining PwC, Ms. Coogan was District Manager for planning and corporate strategy for AT&T. Ms. Coogan has served as a member of Standard & Poor’s Insurance Advisory Council, served as a director of a privately held insurance company, and consulted for financial services companies in asset and risk management. Ms. Coogan began her career at the World Bank. She has published on topics of risk and investment performance and is the co‐author of The Handbook of Credit Risk Management. Ms. Coogan earned her PhD in economics from Boston University and is a CFA charter holder.
